How We Got Here
Tiger Recruitment was established in 2008 by Terri Smith, a Portuguese entrepreneur with extensive experience in the freight industry. Identifying a gap for specialised recruitment services, Terri aimed to effectively connect top freight talent with leading industry positions.
The Tiger Team is proactive and takes pride in knowing each client and candidate individually, ensuring a commitment to service excellence. This dedication is reflected in the enduring relationships with many of our initial clients.
We are classified as an Exempted Micro Enterprise, boasting a Level 4 BEE Status and a 100% BEE Procurement Recognition Level, with affiliation to APSO.

Managing Director
Terri is profoundly passionate about the logistics and supply chain industry, where she has spent most of her career. With a background in HR and Recruitment, she leveraged her combined knowledge and expertise to establish Tiger Recruitment. Terri is a dynamic, driven professional with extensive industry experience, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of her clients’ challenges. This insight enables her to expertly match the most suitable candidates with her clients.
Tammy Mattig
Recruitment Consultant
Tammy brings extensive experience in both HR and Recruitment to our team, having been with the company since 2011. She plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the business. A fitness enthusiast, Tammy’s energy and passion infuse every aspect of her work. Always ready to assist, her dedication and punctuality ensure that operations proceed seamlessly. Known for her genuine care and kindness, Tammy is a true ‘people’s person’, fostering positive interactions with everyone she meets.
